This means that if you are a women's soccer player the women's soccer coach of your chosen school will get your information. Not the dean of student affairs. Not the janitor or the physical education instructor. The HEAD COACH.

Public/Coach view:

INTRODUCTION

This view is for college coaches, you, your parents, family, friends and anyone else who knows of your Player2Coach profile (you can make yourself non-searchable).

This first page is your introduction - this is where you free-form write about yourself, and then fill in some blanks on your general interests, favorite teams, schools, people and more.

Notice in the image to the right - the buttons enable navigation throughout your profile, into other sections which follow in this demonstration.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your personal information is mostly meant for contact, but also gives some detail on date of birth, what your parents do, email addresses and phone numbers and more.

When you send your profile to a college coach he/she will be able to see more information than is showed in your public profile. This is meant as a measure of security, protecting you and your privacy.

ATHLETIC INFORMATION

The athletic information page is one of the more complex in terms or raw data. Specific to the player's sport (soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, etc), the page shows any relevant statistics, your height, weight, and basically details your experience. Plus at this page you are abel to add your special awards, championships, kudos, write-ups and whatever else you can think of, including your college showcase schedules.

ACADEMIC INFORMATION

Colleges want to develop successful people, not just successful athletes. For this reason your academics are VITAL, and your academics page shows what you have accomplished to this point. Here the college coach can see your G.P.A., your NCAA Clearinghouse number (oh, don't have that yet? Player2Coach will give you the proper information in order to acquire this) and more.

Your academic information plays a huge role in what type and amount of scholarship monies you can receive. Coaches can't just give 100% scholarships at their leisure, and they need to justify their expenditures. The better your academics, the more financial assistance you could potentially receive.

PERSONAL PHOTO CATALOGUE

The Player2Coach system enables you to upload up to 40 photographs to your personal profile. When you add these photos the system automatically creates a thumbnail-sized image, and resizes the original to fit into the interface. You don't need to know photo manipulation software so all you do is upload your best images and you are good to go.

Viewing the photos is just as easy - just click on the thumbnail.

STREAMING VIDEO

Your online streaming video can be the most impactful part of your online profile, which in essence is a presentation on you and what you can bring to a university.

Utilizing the same programming as the most popular online video applications, Player2Coach allows a much higher quality output, so coaches can really see what you want them to see.

Uploading the video is screamingly simple - select the file and click the button that says "upload" (when in your user panel, which we'll cover in a moment). The system does the rest for you. It doesn't matter which video output you use (i.e. Windows Media, QuickTime, MPEG1, etc) - we have it all handled.

What you upload is up to you, but we can always give you suggestions as to what coaches are looking for. Hint: Coaches are probably not going to watch an entire match, but some highlights of YOU and some footage of you talking to the camera would be great). Player2Coach subscribers can call technical support for tips and tricks on easily and cost-effectively compiling a great video for coaches to view. HINT: It DOESN'T have to be a Hollywood production. Just enough for the coach to get an idea of how you are on your chosen field of play and a bit about you too.

PLAYER BLOG

A new feature exclusively for our subscribers - the BLOG enables you to post up expanded information, schedules, your thoughts, copies of newspaper articles and more! It really helps the coaches who are watching you too.

CONTACT FORM

Each subscriber can be contacted through a safe-form. This enable interested coaches who have searched and found you to actually send an email directly to you without revealing your email address.

ADMINISTRATION FEATURES

Your main administration panel is easy-to-use and effective. Everything you need is contained in or accessible though this one page. Here you can create/update/modify your profile pages, upload photos and videos, delete your photos, research colleges and of course send your profile to college coaches.

This interface also shows you which colleges you have sent your profile, and even if the coaches have accepted your invitation to view ALL of your information (and how many times too!)

ADDING/MODIFYING DATA

Adding/modifying data to your profile is simple. Player2Coach has developed all of the criteria for you, so you simply fill in the blanks.

This is all of the data that the college coaches need to see from you. Whether it is your athletic, academic, or personal data you are guided through these steps, ensuring your data to be accurate.

CONTACTED COLLEGES INFOLIST

When you look at your colleges contacted list you will see that each school is also a hyperlink. By clicking on the link you can bring up an information pop-up giving all pertinent school information.

SEARCH COLLEGES

There are a couple of ways to search for colleges. One is to select your division and region from drop-down boxes. This is if you know what and where your schools are, or if you wish to remain within a certain criteria grouping (i.w. West Coast NCAA Division I schools). The other way is to simply type the name of the school in a search box and click the search button.

COLLEGE INFORMATION RESEARCH PANEL

The research interface again shows you all of the critical data you need in order to study up on your potential schools. You get Name, address, phone numbers, fax, school website, athletics website, coach's name, address, email, school academic ratings, number of students, tuition costs and more.

CONTACTING COLLEGE COACHES

Sending your profile to college coaches is simple.

Once you know your school, you click on the division and region, to get the listings for that criteria. You are then given a listing of schools that apply.

WHAT THE COACH RECEIVES

The Player2Coach system sends a professional, HTML formatted email directly to the coach. This email give him/her initial information on you and contains a links back to your profile.

The link is special because it is part of the way the system tracks coach visits to your profile.

KEEPING TRACK OF THE COACHES

When a college coach visits your profile (after having been invited) the system automatically senses this and immediately sends you an email notifying you of the coach's visit. Plus, your administration panel is updated with this latest "profile hit".

Here is where you can start to communicate with the coach (or if you are too young to contact coaches directly you can actually keep track of how they are keeping an eye on you as your career progresses!)
